He has led more than 30 orchestras across all of Europe, America and Asia. He is one of Spain’s conductors with the most artistic activity beyond our borders, with a striking artistic dynamism. His sound international development has come about thanks to so many of his concerts being real musical events; his reviews serving as a clear reference of his artistic personality.

Has performed in theatres and concert halls such as: Musikverein Golden Hall in Viena (Austria), Auditorio Nacional of Music in Madrid (Spain), Tonhalle in Zurich (Switzerland), Smetana Hall Municipal House in Prague (Czech Republic), R.Wagner Concert Hall in Riga (Latvia), Theatre de Nimes (France), Theater an der Wien in Vienna (Austria)….

Gaining a PhD in 1989 at Moscow’s Tchaikowsky Conservatoire he also holds the title of Master of Fine Arts from the above mentioned institution.
He was appointed by Gos-Koncert (the former USSR’s main state company of artistic contracting) as “First Class Artist”.
Between 2003 to 2008 Luis Carlos Badía was the main conductor of Nimes Philharmonic Orchestra (France), and principal guest conductor of Bari’s Teatro Petrucelli Orchestra (Italy).


Luis Carlos Badía has been shortlisted selected as one of the fifteen most important artistic personalities of Spain by the section of “The Balcony of Culture” in Madrid´s ABC newspaper (2010).

19th March 2016 he received a standing ovation at the Musikverein´s Golden Hall, 
where Maestro Badia brilliantly performed 
“Prague” Symphony KV 504 by W.A.Mozart for the 260 Aniversary of the composer.
